The Pace of Jesus

Rest can be an act of trust rather than a retreat from responsibility.

Read · Mark 6:30–32

Constant activity can make us feel necessary, productive, and safe. Yet an unsustainable pace eventually weakens our attention, relationships, judgment, and joy.

Jesus invited His disciples to come away and rest after demanding ministry. Their needs did not surprise Him, and their limits did not disqualify them.

Receiving our limits as creatures is an act of humility. Rest reminds us that Christ sustains His work and that our value is not measured by uninterrupted output.

What would it look like to receive rest as part of faithful stewardship this week?

PrayerLord Jesus, teach me Your pace. Help me work diligently, rest without guilt, and trust that You remain Lord when I stop. Amen.
