Read · John 15:4–5
We can become so focused on producing visible results that we neglect the life from which faithful work must grow. Eventually, activity without abiding becomes thin and brittle.
Jesus describes Himself as the vine and His followers as branches. Dependence is not a beginning stage we outgrow; it is the permanent condition of fruitful discipleship.
Prayer, Scripture, worship, and obedience are not boxes to check before real work begins. They keep us connected to Christ so that what emerges from our lives carries His character.
Where are you trying to produce spiritual fruit without remaining close to Christ?
PrayerJesus, keep me near You. Let my work, relationships, and service grow from communion with You rather than anxious striving. Amen.
