About David

Faith, family, and a life of purposeful service.

I am a husband, father, behavioral health professional, and ministry leader whose life and work have been profoundly shaped by Jesus Christ.

David Cottrill

I am married to my amazing wife, Hannah, and we have two wonderful children. Leading and loving my family has been one of the greatest joys—and greatest challenges—of my life. It continually teaches me that meaningful leadership begins with humility, presence, sacrifice, and grace.

My personal story includes hurdles and difficult seasons that ultimately led to an encounter with Jesus Christ. He radically entered my life, changed its direction, and gave me a new foundation for how I understand identity, purpose, recovery, and service. My faith is not separate from my professional life; it is the center from which I seek to care for people and carry responsibility.

Professional journey

From counseling to executive leadership.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Valley Forge in 2015, I began working as a counselor with a faith-based behavioral health and recovery organization. I later earned a Master of Arts in Addictions Counseling from Liberty University in 2020. Those experiences deepened my conviction that effective recovery work can honor both clinical evidence and Christian faith.

Over the years, I have served as a counselor, clinical supervisor, quality assurance and compliance analyst, executive director, and Vice President of Programming. Those roles have allowed me to develop experience in clinical supervision, staff development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, executive leadership, program evaluation, public speaking, and business management.

Today, as Vice President of Programming for a faith-based behavioral health and recovery organization, I provide executive leadership across programs serving people and families affected by addiction. My work includes program strategy and evaluation, clinical and operational oversight, staff and leadership development, quality and compliance, and the integration of compassionate, evidence-informed, faith-rooted care.
